Latin Name : Fothergilla major
Native to the southeastern U.S., easy to grow with fragrant 2” tall bottle-brush flowers in April. Dense foliage offers shelter for birds and other creatures with beautiful yellow, orange, and red fall foliage.
It is noted for its aromatic spring flowers, quality summer foliage, excellent fall color, and excellent disease resistance. Genus name honors Dr. John Fothergill (1712-1780), an English physician and botanist who grew plants from around the world in his London garden.
