Beardsley Library Children’s Garden
NWCD is excited to partner with the Beardsley Memorial Library in Winsted, CT to install a vegetable garden for children. Four raised garden beds were installed and a variety of vegetable seedlings will be planted soon. Free educational programs, designed for children 2 – 12, will take place throughout the summer at the library on Wednesdays at 3 pm. NWCD received grant funds from EPOC (Environmental Professionals of CT) to complete this project.
