A historic native garden favorite with white flower clusters in late May which fill the garden with sweet fragrance, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds, and serving as a food source for birds. Easy-to-grow and drought-resistant. Thrives in sunny, well-drained soils.

In-Depth Description

The common name comes from the fact that its foliage was used as a tea substitute during the Revolutionary War. New Jersey Tea is easy to grow, drought resistant, and suitable for rough landscape spots but refined enough to use as specimen or border planting in a more formal setting.
