Still River BioSwale at NCCC

The project began in the spring of 2016 with the preparation of the bioswale site, including removal of invasive vegetation such as Japanese knotweed which had overtaken most of the area.

Next was the physical construction of the bioswale, using best engineering and design principles.

Finally, two dozen volunteers came out to plant over 155 native shrubs and perennials in one morning. These plants will to stabilize the bioswale and help absorb extra runoff and pollution!
